I am originally from a farm near a small town in Nebraska. I grew up walking beans, moving irrigation pipes, bottle feeding calves, finding where the barn cats hid their kittens, and operating the grain cart during harvest. I relocated to Kansas for grad school where I met my husband, Jake. We moved into the Canterbury neighborhood in 2020 with our dog Pippin, and added our second dog Bilbo a year later. I’ve been a librarian for 10 years working for public, college, and special libraries. In my free time I bounce between my many hobbies, such as crocheting, knitting, and painting. If given the chance, I’ll talk to you about horses, Star Trek, and nail polish all day!

My husband and I have called this neighborhood home since 1995, where we raised our two daughters. I have been a practicing chiropractor for the past 18 years and now provide both chiropractic and functional medicine services in person and virtually, while my husband, who recently retired after a career as a piano teacher and remains a church organist and currently serves at First Presbyterian Church in Lee's Summit. As self-employed professionals, and through my experience managing and handling the bookkeeping for my practice, I have developed strong financial and organizational skills that I bring to my role as Treasurer. It has been my pleasure to serve the HOA, and I am honored to be serving my second term as your Treasurer.

My wife Leah and I have lived in Canterbury since July of 1995. We are a blended family. I have 2 daughters and Leah has 1 son. Collectively we have 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Both of us are retired, I in 2019, Leah in 2020. We enjoy taking road trip vacations and I play golf as often as possible. This is my first stint on the board and I look forward to serving the community to the best of my ability.
